This cake does taste as good as it looks. If I had a choice, I would prefer a bit less flavoring but it is without a doubt a good burley blend. Someone likened it to ESB. There are similarities but this is not Edgeworth. I say that only to keep others from expecting a copy of ESB

Hi Eric,
I am a fairly new but avid pipe smoker. I came across your website (love it) and decided to try Classic Burley Kake based on your recommendation. Out of the dozen or so tobaccos I've tried, CBK moved to the top of the list -- instantly. I've discovered that I like Burleys and some Virginia blends, but the cool, full smoke, great aromas, lack of tongue bite, and clean burn to the bottom are the things I'm looking for in a tobacco. Sometimes I rest the pipe for an hour or so, then finish the bottom quarter, leaving a nice, reasonably dry ash. Thanks again for the recommendation -- I love this stuff! Dave

I know exactly what you mean about the chocolate. I think this is the best presentation of the flavor in any blend I've tried. At least to my tastes. Thanks for commenting...

Hi Eric,
I was excited about the release of Classic Burley Kake and have been smoking it ever since its release. It has become one of my favorite smokes and a day doesn't go by where I won't have a bowl or two! I am a big fan of chocolate and have finally found a chocolate blend to my liking with CBK. The anise and rum is just about right in my book. I get a very tasty smoke and do not experience any of the burley harshness as is typical with some burley blends. Burley is actually my favorite type of tobacco (I've been a fan of Mac Baren's Burley London Blend for over 30 years!).

I would recommend Classic Burley Kake in a heartbeat to any newbie pipe smoker or veteran alike. I thoroughly enjoy your two web sites as well as your YouTube reviews. Keep up the great work, and happy smoking!
