Everyone approaches this great hobby of ours from their own angle. Some have a passion for building their pipe collection with briars crafted by the most creative and successful artisans. Others enjoy the craft of finding neglected estate pipes and breathing new life into them on their work bench, or carving new creations themselves. Still others find excitement in scouring online auction sites, flea markets, and antique shops looking for a fantastic deal on a new smoker they will enjoy themselves or put in the hands of another pipe smoker.
For me, it is all about the tobacco. Pipe tobacco is my passion. I love smoking it, I love buying it, I love exploring new blends, I love reading about it, writing about it, and especially comparing notes with other pipe smokers! At the end of the day, we all like pipe tobacco, whether that means the journey in search of the holy grail, desert island smoke, or finding daily comfort in that one blend or two that always satisfies us. This is why I've invited you here, from whatever other niche in the world of pipe smoking you find your own passion in - to celebrate the one part of the hobby we each have in common - smoking pipe tobacco.

over the past 2 plus years i have enjoyed learning how to smoke a pipe and in that pursuit, I have enjoyed learning from watching your videos and reading your blogs. I subscribed to your site once before but I switched email accounts…actually shut it down…and found it once again this evening.
I smoked a bowl of 3 year old Blackpoint this evening on the deck, out of a Stanwell bulldog and it was heavenly! Anyway, I’m glad to be back reading and learning. I love full bodied English the best. Any recommendations along those lines?
Have you done a video about storing tobacco and what brand of pipe is the pipe you use in your video about tongue bite.
