I love pipes with a military mount and this one is a nice specimen. Still five days left as I post it and there is already plenty of action on this auction for an new Ashton pipe.
Note: The auction for the pipe I described above was scheduled to end October 18th, 2009. If you are viewing this post after that date, you are viewing a pipe different than the one I commented on.
Stanwell Freehand - An excellent looking Danish freehand from a renowned maker. "It has BEAUTIFUL 360 STRAIGHT GRAIN, with a pristine and very clean plateau rim that begins as birdseye on the heel! The original vulcanite stem perfectly complements it's distinct looks, and is in near pristine condition with a white CROWNED S stem mark.
This pipe has crisp markings and a stem that still shine like glass. It has been well preserved and VERY gently used. I take pride in the condition of my pipes, as I know you will when you smoke them."
